Never have I ever experienced a law firm or attorney as unprofessional as Ronnie O’Brien Rice. Not recommended! Poor communication - refused to return calls, emails, or release documents in a timely manner after being fired. There’s always an excuse as to why he cannot complete any request. Please note that I’ve contacted this friend on several occasions to help mediate this matter or try to help us move forward in this process. Sad to say, but the friend has also informed me that he refused to return any of his calls. My son’s accident happened in February this year. The insurance company asked that he send documentation on numerous occasions, in which Attorney Rice did not send. When I asked about it the first time, he assured me that the documents were presented. After receiving another request 1 month later, I asked again and Attorney Rice gives me an excuse of being sick & attacks me verbally about reaching out to him outside of business hours. He did this a few times as well. On one occasion I contacted him after 5pm (but before 6pm) & another I contacted him before 9am (but after 8am). So apparently, he should’ve set ground rules of giving us his hours of operation from 9am-5pm and not to contact him afterwards and set other ground rules of his inability to provide professional services based on how he felt for the day. I don’t think that would’ve mattered anyways, because regardless of the hours, he refused to fulfill his agreement that was established day one. Perhaps his work load is too much or too many personal issues, regardless of whatever the situation might have been, we deserved to be treated fairly, communicated to properly, or released without all “the extra” because he couldn’t provide proper representation. My point is this, I get sometimes we have personal issues beyond our control, but to blatantly disregard requests for weeks & months is absurd. And yes I have every email & text message to support this review since he’s threaten to sue me.
