When I reached out to this law firm to take my case I was assured by Tony and his assistant Favour that he would get me justice. After our first consultation I asked Tony about payment. He said it would $400 for the demand letter and then 30% of anything awarded. Never a mention on a retainer or a specific amount. Well I pay him the $400 to take the case. We start I’m reliving this trauma daily for weeks because I have to keep talking about it. I have to keep writing statements and filing paperwork. Well after the second demand letter the company decided to take the issue to litigation. It was at this point that Tony told me it would $5k for him to begin preparing for trial. I felt like the wind had been knocked out of me. I was so confused because that’s not what we discussed. He told me it must have been a misunderstanding and that the $5k would come out of the 30%. I told him that was never discussed or else I wouldn’t have even proceeded with his firm. I begged and plead with him not to do this to me. Like I felt victimized all over again. He told me if I could pay $2.5k and do a payment plan for the rest he would begin. I have been off of work with my dying mother so no I can’t afford that at the moment my husband is covering all of our expenses. He never replied to me. It’s 5am and I can’t even sleep thinking about how I gave this man money for basically nothing. He provided good service up until it came to going to court and actually fighting the case. My mental health is in such a dark place again because of this. I’m thinking I may have to do some inpatient therapy because I’m not sure I’m in my right state of mind. I cannot let this go and I cannot continue letting people abuse me and get away with it. What am I? A nobody? Just a black woman who’s voice doesn’t matter? Nope! This is not ok to do people this way. I trusted these people.🥲

I was looking for a probate attorney after experiencing the worst treatment by my wife’s family during her funeral for no reason at all. I never even got to have closure with her. From day one Tony hit the ground running and has gone above and beyond by not only doing what he said he was going to do and so much more. He communicates expeditiously in various ways and never hesitates to answer any questions or concerns that I may have. My case isn’t over yet however I’m confident that Tony will get me through this.
