I give them 2 stars because they helped me previously before without any problems! This time around they changed a lot of things where you have to call and make an appointment for a set date and time which I did. I've rescheduled twice already and I have not received a call back on my appointed times and dates! Meanwhile their website is messed up to where you can't make an appointment on there either! I am highly disappointed in their unprofessionalism and unorganization! They are unsystematic and pick and choose how, when, where and who they want to help!

The family lawyer was super unprofessional. Once she called me back, I didn’t even get a hello. She immediately starts giving me unnecessary attitude. She asked why I was calling, I try to explain and mid story, she cuts me off, says “I can’t help you” and hangs up. She has got to be the most unprofessional lawyer I’ve ever came into contact with. Please don’t choose here if you need help with custody, they WILL deny you.

I only say four stars because there's always room for improvement. However, the time and effort that the staff at the VLP provides to the community is priceless. Depending on different situations and circumstances(of course), this program will give you peace of mind. Thank you VLP!

Today, we were granted guardianship of our adult daughter with the help of VLP. I don't know what we would have done without the expert help of Mary Anne and the attorneys who provided pro bono assistance. We have such gratitude for this organization.

Advertised on television and the internet to be in person at the downtown library, but much to my chagrin after driving down there while on break from work, Noone was on site and library staff knew nothing about it. However, after calling the VLP number, and being told it was indeed National Talk to a Lawyer Day, I had an unnamed lawyer call back, offer a scant bit of legal advice, but refuse to allow for continued conversation the following day when I wasn't on my way back to work. All in all, next to useless, but for one single legal advisory to call the State Legal Disciplinary Board.

Yet another example of someone who learned their motto is a lie. They had a card which said it helps with custody cases right on the card. They didn't help me with s***.
I have an incredible story of criminalization of poverty. Well I have made my own mistakes, I was lterally being thrown in prison most of a two decade period for debt. They would refuse to reduce b or suspend payments while incarcerated. I would give another charge from the debts which accrued while I was in prison for debt. If you disbelieve it occurs Google " Gary Cooper child support Anderson Indiana 8,000 " Cooper accrued over 80% of his arrears for his felony debt while incarcerated. My 2nd one, 93% build up while I was in prison for the first felony debt. How much are there accrued the same way. Very few counties / prosecutors did this so it didn't get much notice. But Anderson, Indiana was notorious for it, esp. prior to the Lambert civil case law. It finally made the courts reduce incarceration when a man requested reduction after he was locked up. Prior to that Anderson refused to reduce it. South Bend, St Joe County Indiana gave Charles Gilliam 24 years for child support arrears on 3 C felonies at once. he temporarily had a decent paying job for seven up but didn't have that long. Suspend 15, nine in prison. But you know the backup probation time on felony deaths will be served because cons have no money. Like many men I went downhill after the debt situation severed me from my children I was the main caretaker in the two daughters and my second marriage and I wanted them every night even after the divorce. But the incessant witch Hunt for death kept me from them there were too many strands of this web to explain in one sitting. The three legal helps in fort Wayne were s*** didn't help one bit.
