TK was not actually My Lawyer but I just wanted to share my experience with this law firm. I called them to ask them to help me With a K 1 Visa. After multiple attempts calling them, they took my information and said they would call back and did not. Over a week had gone by, still, No return call. So I called them back and I was told that they’re not taking any more cases right now because they’re full. You know how in your heart you can feel that someone is not being totally forthright with you.

So anyway, I ended up going by their office and knocking on the glass-door. It was locked. Atty TKD did come to the door. I shared with her that I had my tickets and I was going to go visit my Fiancé In his country. I shared with her, Asking her to reconsider, taking our case. She asked if it was the first time we ever met and I said yes it’ll be the first time. She said go and take lots of pictures and come back and see her. I went to Nigeria, my Fiancé propose to me. Of course he had proposed to me over the phone. We had been speaking for over a year by that time. And so I accepted. The very next day we married.

I reached out to her maybe a month later after returning home. To make a long story longer, again they took all my information and said they will return the call. About another week had passed. They did not call. Again, I had to call them back. Atty TK’s staff told me that she could not accept my case because Nigeria is one of the hardest countries to get an approval from. She knew that my fiancé was in Nigeria from my phone conversation with her staff. And I told her that when I went by her office personally.

Remember, when I said, you can tell when someone’s not being totally forthright with you?

Now I had been told that her reputation is that she has never lost a case. So in my feelings, my initial thought was; she cared more about her numbers and never losing a case than the people she actually worked for. If you’re a teacher you need to love working with children, and love children. If you’re a Mechanic, you need to love working with cars and love cars. If you’re a doctor you need to love, healing people and love people. Again, I was emotional and I wanted Atty TK on my team.

When I came to myself, I considered that perhaps Atty TK is a woman of integrity and standards. She doesn’t wanna be like other lawyers who take your money knowing they’re not gonna win your case.
