It's been a 5-7 yrs ago. Paid him $1,000 for representation for sdp. 1.5 yrs of trying to get him to just file something just so i could basically drive to work and never filed a petition that I signed 2 times. Back and forth. Back and forth....etc....I showed him a petition that the judge signed off on and still current, and he told me, quote "I'm surprised the judge signed off on this" he use to be a judge and apparently lost bc of his personality and loyalty to people that deal with him. I lost $1,000. He never filed a petition for me when he said he would. Actually, the last petition I signed, he had 3 lines for SDP. I was like whoa! We fought about times to go here and there. I could say more, but I just seen his 2.8.....lol that says it all!! The worst attorney on this planet and took my money and did absolutely nothing for me. Btw, the last petition he gave me to sign, that he was to present to the judge, I signed it. As he walked off, before entering his small 4x4 office, he says to me "I am sure the judge will sign off on this"
He not only took my $1,000, but also made me feel less than a human! Do not ever get him and pay in advance! Meaning.....don't trust him! If I could give negative stars.....I would, $1,000 times

Have not hired him yet but he is one of the nicest individuals we have dealt with in the legal system. He was willing to take on a case that only left him with a day to prepare for it and was even willing to work something out with us on payment. To me that speaks volumes about his character. We absolutely would recommend him, and look forward to working with him in the future should the need ever arise.

Seems like a nice guy but I feel like we have been scammed! $800 for one Court date- He never finished his side of the bargain. Still waiting after 6+ months...We lost a lot of money due to this and he said he would refund. We still haven't seen it..... We will be writing to the newspaper to tell more!

Update: He refunded us half the money.

I have been trying to do some research on starting a gun trust. There are very few attorneys that do these locally and Toler Law Office called me back and said they did do them. The information on the internet is somewhat confusing and there are many internet "gun trusts" for $99 that you can do yourself. I wanted to sit down with a local attorney to have some of the many questions I had, answered. I asked some questions and was feeling somewhat rushed through the process. I had a question about the name of the trust and as I was beginning to ask about what the trust really consisted of, I was cut off. I was accused of arranging this meeting, pumping him for information and going somewhere else!! I was somewhat in shock! Why would I come here asking questions then go to the only other attorney that I found locally to spend a lot more money? I was also told that he should have been charging the same $350/hr as the next attorney that I had planned to meet with, because apparently I was taking up too much of his time! If I would have gotten some information without the condescending tone and pressure, I would have gladly paid the $300 that he quoted on the phone. I'm the type that would even have paid extra if I felt that I was being provided good service, even if he did quote $300. I took a total of 10 minutes of his time, and basically had to walk out. I have never hired an attorney before, but my first experience with Toler Law office, is that the service to his customers is deplorable. I have never been treated so poorly at a business in my life and I wish I could give less than 1 star.

DO NOT HIRE BOYD TOLER HE WILL TELL YOU ONE PRICE THEN KEEP CHARGING FOR WHAT YOU ALREADY PAID HIM TO DO I HIRED HIM FOR MY DIVORCE AND NOW HES TRYING TO CHARGE ME MORE MONEY TO FILE A MOTION ON THE DIVORCE AND HE WAITED AROUND AND NEVER EVEN HAD TO FILE BECAUSE MY EX ENDED UP FILING

He took my elderly father's money for a custody battle back in Feb is now August and he's ghosted all his calls. It's sad we have to go on here because he won't answer his calls and fix the issue....
