We just returned from our Alaskan cruise where we did an excursion at every port. From a helicopter to the glaciers, to fishing, to whale watching, THIS excursion was our favorite!! Yes, this one even beat out the helicopter/glacier walk!! Seth made this excursion unforgettable!! We got up close and personal with the whales, otters, and sea lions! Before taking this excursion we assumed we would be hundreds of feet away from the animals and have to do most of our viewing through binoculars. Much to our delight, the wildlife decided to visit our boat at a much closer distance. At one point, there were whales and sea lions popping up all around us and we couldn’t keep up with what to look at! Seth was a great host - had hot drinks and snacks ready to go! His boat was perfect for viewing on the deck, but then warming up inside when needed! He was wonderful with our three children - even letting them take the wheel for a moment to feel like they were the “captain”. We really enjoyed every moment of this excursion and HIGHLY recommend it!!! Thank you for an unforgettable adventure, Vivid Endeavors!!!

Captain Seth was amazing and did everything he could to ensure we got the best view of the wales possible, this included moving the boat to position a rainbow behind our photos! We saw bears, jelly fish and whales, what more could you ask for? Oh the Hot Coco was a life saver as well! This experience was the highlight of our Alaska Cruise, the 6 person limit for the boat meant you were not stuck to one seat trying to peer over other people on the boat. His boat is custom made and laid out for sightseeing, full walkaround deck with glass enclose cab for staying out of that unpredictable Alaska weather. If you have time walk back from the marina (about 1.5 miles), the few shops in town were the best deals of the cruise, and the lone restaurant (fisherman's daughter) was honestly the best food we had in Alaska (the burger and chicken sandwich were amazing).

From booking to pick up to drop off... Wow. Captain Seth is knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. He went above and beyond to make our day in Hoonah amazing. You can certainly see whales from the beach and the docks, but it's just not the same. Seth knows all the best spots to see whale activity and he's a great photographer too! He made our small group feel comfortable on his boat and we had the best day. It is a much better experience whale watching on a smaller boat. If you'd like to whale watch in Alaska.. look no further. Captain Seth with Vivid Endeavors is your guy.

We had an incredible experience with Captain Seth in Icy Strait Point! We saw such a variety of wildlife, noteably humpback whales bubble net feeding, as well as seals, sea otters, sea lions, puffins, and eagles. We also got a glimpse at a brown bear far away on shore. Everything went smoothly and as expected. Seth was at the meeting spot early and we had a short ride over to Hoonah to leave on his boat. It was especially great to be on a boat with only six plus Seth, as we had plenty of room to move around and see the whales, as opposed to other boats we saw that seemed more crowded. Seth was friendly and willing to answer any questions we had! It was a bucket list experience for us and not to be missed if visiting Icy Strait Point!

AMAZING tour for whale watching & wildlife! Really enjoyed our tour on June 18th with Seth. Small boat tour with 6 people is preferable to large boats with lots of people where you are competing for a viewing spot. Seth was super knowledgeable about the wildlife and gave us the option to go find orcas which was a success! We saw humpback whales, orcas, otters, seals, seal lions, and bald eagles. I would definitely book this tour again on a future trip to Icy Strait Point!

Captain Seth has a great experience ready for you. He picked us up and took time to tell stories of the local area the whole way. We went to his boat and it was really neat and clean. There was enough room for my family of six to sit and store our bags. Captain Seth provided water, coffee, hot chocolate, and other snacks, there is also an onboard bathroom. Captain Seth knew where to take us to see all types of wildlife. We saw dozens of humpback whales, dall porpoises, orcas, and sea otters. This is a must see excursion if you visit Hoonah, AK!!

We had the absolute BEST experience with Captain Seth and Vivid Endeavors. He knew where all of the wildlife was; whales, bears, puffins, seals, sea otters. You name it! Pickup and drop-off was a breeze in his super comfy van (kids' fave). Our family of 5 loved the boat, snacks, tour and expertise shown by Captain Seth. Recommend. FIVE STARS!

Capt. Seth loves what he does and it shows. His boat is clean and comfortable and he knows the locations and habits of the whales, bears, sea lions and sea otters. Much better and longer tour than the big boats that contract with the cruise ships. A definite must do if in Hoonah / Icy Strait Point.
