I contacted these people for help and the woman I spoke with was very rude and acted as if she didn’t want to help or to make it as hard as possible to get help.
I advised her that My brother and his family took me and my children in and she wanted to use their income to determine me getting help. Sure lady....my brother helped us out so why don’t you act like he should be responsible to buy me a lawyer too? Absolutely crazy.
So now they aren’t helping me while I have no home and a bipolar violent husband and no money. Thanks a lot Volunteer Network!!! I will make sure to recommend you to no one and to let everyone I come in contact with know that your employees don’t seem to actually want to help anyone.

My son is 10 going on 11, so I called them a decade ago. They did help me find a pro bono lawyer, but she kept pushing my court date without my permission and I haven't seen my son for almost a year at the time. I filed court date before ever seeking help and representation from them. Whenever she pushed court date, the court would rescheduled it 3 months later. After 2nd time she did it, I ended up dropping her and going to court by myself. I am a military veteran with a disability...which was being used against me in paternity court. I had to fight it by myself like every other obstacle in my life. I dont know if network services are only to find you a lawyer, but if so, then they did their job for me. The lawyer did not care tho and of course you will be least priority for them (lawyers)....whenever they decide to ever look at ur case. And heads up, They will treat you like ur poor also.
