Mrs. Votaw was supposed to contact me regarding my son's case to go over items for his day in court. There were so many items that were handled wrong in his case that even his reporting official was wondering why certain things were applied. And now, the only way to question these items is to file an appeal to get in front of the judge to explain what was supposed to be brought up at his court date. Once again, another court appointed attorney making the great attornies look bad.

Leslie is amazing and she knows what she’s talking about. But I have called 2 weeks ago to try to get a plea and she hasn’t called me back but I understand she is very busy so I’m not gonna rush her. I had Mrs Votaw recently as my public defender. She was absolutely wonderful. She did a great Job for me. She was sensitive to my issue and kind. She gave me very sound advise. Ill always appreciate her for what she did

Apparently she is supposed to be one of the best attorneys in dearborn county, although I have yet to see that. She never returns calls and if you make a phone appointment with her the office just doesn't answer so you can leave another message which won't be returned. Court appointed or not the attorney is supposed to work for the client, but all I've seen is her working for the county. Someone who has never been in trouble before, ever, gets an offer of 180 days in jail. Doesn't look like she's fighting for this client. 180 days is absolutely overboard and she's fine with it. So what I'm saying here is if you can get an attorney that doesn't work for dearborn county do it! No "old boys club" b.s. Go to cincinnati or northern ky. Stay away from lawrenceburg, they decide your fate before you even get in a court room. Good luck!...after I posted this she dropped me as a client instead of working harder. So like I said Good Luck!
