I can’t even remember how I was referred to Wood Sims Law, but I will never forget Chris Sims. Right from the get go, he has been nothing but supportive and helpful through my legal troubles. For context; I was arrested for a DUI back in 2020. Covid was rampant, and I was getting cabin fever along with my already struggling mental health. There are no excuses for my mistake, but that didn’t stop Chris from working hard to help me through it all. For two years, he relentlessly negotiated with the prosecutor on my case to help me get the best outcome possible. Right after getting released from police custody and knowing I would be charged with a DUI, I jumped online and started to research everything I could find on what getting a DUI would mean for my record. Being my first time I had no idea what to do, but some friends advised me to seek legal representation immediately. So that’s what I did.

I read all the reviews on lawyers Within an hour drive who had experience working with DUI type cases and selected the highest rated ones to get in contact with. I set up appointments for lawyers all over king county and “interviewed” them for whom I thought would be the best. Many of them can off cold and acted as if there was no for any lawyer to defend my case. Although, some were kind and willing to work the case, I knew my search was over when I met with Cory.

Right off the bat, I could feel a zero judgement atmosphere when we greeted each other. He was very welcoming, respectful, and jumped right into how he might be able to work with me if selected to be my legal representation. He walked me through all the steps that I could expect my case to take and had an answer for all of my questions. His confidence, respect, and knowledge are why I decided to work with him right then and there. Plus, it didn’t hurt that a previous review called him a “ninja in the courtroom.” Oh, he is also more than reasonably priced for the value that he brings to the table. I would have paid more to have him work with me if that were the case.

Thought the whole process Cory was there to guide me through things I needed to do and answer any questions I had. He is also very responsive. Emails, texts, phone calls, smoke signals... you name it and he’ll respond quickly.

I ended up with the best result I could have asked for when my case finally closes and it’s all thanks to him.

If want to work with the best out there who is respectful and a courtroom ninja, Cory Wood is your guy! I hope Cory practices for a long time because many more people can benefit from his expertise.

Also, I did get a chance to briefly meet his partner Chris, very great respectful first impression as well. I’m sure you can’t go wrong with him either. And besides, Cory probably doesn’t roll with those who can’t match his abilities.
