CALL DAN RIGHT NOW! Dan was incredible and professional and caring. I was so scared because workers comp was sending me to a surgeon who was 80 years old. Workers comp was also bullying me in other ways because I was not represented. I had never needed lawyer before in my life so I was also scared to reach out to a lawyer. I injured my back on the job back in Nov '20 and ended up at Kaiser Occ. Med, who assigned a MD to assess me, who's main concerned (in my opinion) was to minimized my treatment cost. I wanted a MRI bc I believed I had a slip disc and the MD refused claiming I did not meet the requirements for a MRI. He said it was my heart, then reflux, me making up stuff, etc...
I have been in the medical field since 1975-33 yrs in trauma surgery including open hearts as a CORT / 1st. assistant and now a RN for 16 yrs., so he could not fool me. After the 3rd visit I demanded a MRI, or I would retained a lawyer. The MD got me my MRI and I was right, there where several thoracic spine levels w slipped disc.
I retained Dan and met his legal assistant Enrique. Dan and Enrique helped me prepare for my deposition took the time to listen to me vent, help me deal w the Kaiser Oc. Med., BS. They got me a second, third and finally a fourth opinion form IN network MD's. It has been a long road of dealing with red-tape; however, with the expert advice, guidance and compassion that both Dan and Enrique have shown I have finally been financially compensated for my injury. Also including any unforeseen medical treatment which I might require related to it for the next several years.
